Our Story

I’d like to welcome you to our story page. This is where I share how my business started and why I love what I do. I truly hope you enjoy the origin story of Narez Building and Development, Inc. – Pablo Narez

Small Town Kid

My parents and older brother immigrated from Mexico to the United States in the early 1980s. They ended up settling in Fort Bragg California a small town of 6,000 people on the north coast of California. Growing up I was always working in my parents Mexican grocery store. My parents and brother instilled a strong work ethic in me at an early age.

In school I worked my tail off and was able to get into CSU East Bay in Hayward California and earned a scholarship that paid for my first 2 years of school.

Big City Dreams

Once I started college I found the construction management major and knew I wanted to work in high profile projects in the bay area. Over the course of my college years two of my favorite activities were outside the classroom. I participated the ACS construction management competition in Reno Nevada for the pre-construction and Virtual Design and Construction team. I held various internships during the academic year as well. My very first project was the Apple spaceship campus!

Once I graduated in 2018 I worked for various commercial contractors on a varied number of projects including a 64 unit condo complex and 250 modular built apartments complex. I was learning a lot about construction at that time, however, During the beginning of 2022 is when I, along with numerous others, got laid off due to the developer having a pricing dispute with the lumber supplier.

Finding Myself in Mexico

After getting laid off I was burnt out from the long commutes and long hours of bay area commercial construction. I decided to move to Mexico for a year, spend some time with family and take a break. But that break didn’t last long. After a couple of months of resting and catching up with family I decided to get busy.

I decided on building my parents their small forever home in Mexico. After I completed that project and one outdoor grilling space I knew I could handle my own projects in the United States. I said good-bye to my family in Mexico I travel back to California on a mission to start my own construction and real estate development business.

Present Day

After arriving back in California I quickly got a job with a commercial electrical contractor to save up some capital to start my business. I was working all day and studied on nights and weekends for my general contractors exam. I eventually passed it and I was able to start my business!

I have been in business since July of 2022 and it has been a tremendous journey so far. I am excited to for the future and looking forward to being able to serve my clients and communities’ with the best service I can provide.
